Sounds like a very fun piece. I might listen to that today several times while I am at work.

AndrewB, It IS a nice and difficult piece and playing it was an achievement and not really a sad story...

Congrats!

I played the concert band version (the same difficulty) in community band one year. I loved it

I have also played this piece before, but in wind ensemble, not orchestra.

Does anyone else think that the tempo in the YouTube version is a bit too fast? It sounds as if they are trying to play it as fast as they can, rather than playing it more musically as a celebration. Celebrations should not sound rushed!

Maybe it's just because our conductor had us play it at a slightly slower tempo, so I'm used to hearing it that way.

Does anyone else agree with me that the tempo sounds a little rushed?

OMG!! That is AWESOME!!

Our school doesnt even have string instruments (apart from guitars) in it!! Only brass and woodwind and percussion! You dont know how lucky you really are!!
