I can get a good tone for a few minutes at a time then some of the notes, particularly lower notes, become hard to play. If I rest for a while the tone comes right back. I've been playing for about 3 weeks.

concentrate on quality, not quantity, what you are experincing is normal, you need to build your tone which requires different muscles in the embouchure
