Im not in a marching band specifically, but i have done marching with one of my concert bands on occasion. i hate marching! but it might just be cos we did boring marching.

someone mentioned dancing once. how do u dance and play the flute at the same time? iv often thought about it and i reckon it`d be really hard, but so cool. lol (i luv music, drama, dancing and anything performing!)

we are allowed in our school to join marching band in 6th grade it is great we do a lot of prades and they are fun we do the best songs in the stand oye como va louie louie vehicle cant turn you lose bump noterdam and go fight win

You are lucky that you can do marching band in the 6th grade at are school you have to be in the 8th grade and be really advanced. I cant wait until i get to march. i am going to be in the 7th grade but in the 8th grade band with my lovely oboe.(i think i will march with a flute tho) At our school one of my band directors husband writes are marching music from scrach it is all orginal.You see are band is regional and national champs. At are school band is a big thing and might i say we are de bomb.

I am in a marching band, and I absolutely love it, as you can kind of guess from my username. Our band is small (approx. 80 people, including guard) and has never been to state (due to apathetic past bands) but we`re getting our act together and last year( my first year, when I was in 8th grade ) we did a whole lot better at state than we usually do. Yeah, I`ll stop rambling now,;bye!

i`m also so pumped to go to band camp, its so far from now though,(july 26). This wil be my 2nd year in the Broncho marcing band. by the way if from the holly high school marching band in michigan. last years show was awsome, but i have feeling that this years show will be evn better

Hi. This upcoming school year will be my first year in marching band, but I`ve been to like the Freshmen Night (where the freshmen join the upper-classmen for a game) and Rookie Day (a day for newcomers to learn the basics and get to know people and such) and I can`t wait! Marching band rules!!

There are no flutes or clarinets in our marching band. Our instrumentation consists of alto saxes, tenor saxes, Bb trumpets, Eb trumpets, flugelhorns, Mellophones, Euphs Trombones and Sousaphones. We don`t use a pit either, we march big ten style (i am told that is what it is called) we have 7 snares, 5 tenors, 5 basses, and 6 cymbals.

Yup... how can you not love marching band?
Um... you do have competitions aside from football games, right? Someone at the beginning mentioned getting first percussion, so I guess yes.
Our school marched Rise and Fall of Rome last year... started off slow but wound up with a Grand Sweepstakes! As well as sweeps in practically everything...yup... we ruled.^_^
We`re doing Heartbeat (key poulan) this year... not as promising... anybody marched it before?

I do marching band. My band sucks! No offence to you white people, but our band director is white and plays lame music! Give me some Hip Hop Sheet Music. For Goodness sake my band can`t even march correctly!

I am in Marchin Band and I loooove it! Iam only a freshman, I have never been to a comp. but I have marched in the 4th of july parade! It was sooo much fun! Rookie camp is next week... Our show this year is Power, Pride, and Promise and I forget the songs! Rocky rules! I am still waiting for a nickname... I know I am going to love marching band, and we have won like 9 grand champion trophies and made to state for like 50 cons. years! Go Raiders and wish me luck at band camp! I am such a band geek!

I LIVE for marching band! Sorry, I`m the perfect example of a band geek... but yes, we thrive on marching band at my school.

MARCHING BAND IS THE ABSOLUTE COOLEST THING YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE! I live in Texas, I play the flute, I`m a sophomore, I`m also in Symphonic band. We march corps style. Last year we did a show called `All That Jazz` where we played Georgia Fanfare, Birdland, and Mac Arthur Park, and we got a standing ovation at every game, got chased down by other school`s principals to tell us how amazing we were, we got the outstanding band award, we ROCK! I wanna say thanks to our drum majors, James and Kimberly. And Aaron, good job on your trumpet solo! Thanks Mr. Powell, Moose, Mr. Carlton, Mrs. Ingram, Mrs. Powell and the flags! LIVINGSTON HIGH SCHOOL ROYAL BRIGADE MARCHING BAND ROX!

Oh and I can`t wait for camp in a few weeks. We`re marching Carmina Burana this year. Everyone in Region 10 had better watch out, cuz we`re comin` to get ya!!
