Hi Frummer,
I tried out one of Liz' headjoints (a wood one) about two years ago. She was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was very impressed with the quality, price, and condition of the (used) headjoint, which to me appeared new. From the photos on her website, it looks like her used flutes are also in really good condition.
It is a very good idea to ask for references if you are going to do 'flute business' online. I bought a used, refurbished Yamaha 62 piccolo 4 years ago off eBay (NOT from Liz!) and it came with a year's guarantee on the pads. When it arrived, it needed about $150 worth of work: new pads and a complete adjustment. The dilemma was that I could have sent it back and have the work done for free- but they used many of the wrong size pads in the first place, and didn't adjust it very well, so I didn't expect that they would be able to fix it properly. Or I could return it for my money back. I had the work done locally and kept the piccolo, it was a nice one.
I would expect good quality, excellent prices and a professional experience from Liz. If it would make you more comfortable, you could ask her for references yourself.
