Hello guys!

Im contemplating on purchasing a headjoint from liz@winds101. Do you guys have any experience doing business with her?Is she a trust-worthy merchant? And if by any chance Liz is here, im sorry but im quite new to doing online business on flute purchases.

Hi Frummer,
I tried out one of Liz' headjoints (a wood one) about two years ago. She was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I was very impressed with the quality, price, and condition of the (used) headjoint, which to me appeared new. From the photos on her website, it looks like her used flutes are also in really good condition.
It is a very good idea to ask for references if you are going to do 'flute business' online. I bought a used, refurbished Yamaha 62 piccolo 4 years ago off eBay (NOT from Liz!) and it came with a year's guarantee on the pads. When it arrived, it needed about $150 worth of work: new pads and a complete adjustment. The dilemma was that I could have sent it back and have the work done for free- but they used many of the wrong size pads in the first place, and didn't adjust it very well, so I didn't expect that they would be able to fix it properly. Or I could return it for my money back. I had the work done locally and kept the piccolo, it was a nice one.
I would expect good quality, excellent prices and a professional experience from Liz. If it would make you more comfortable, you could ask her for references yourself.

I have never bought anything from Liz but I do talk to her quite often. She is very professional and is a good reliable person to do business with. I highly recommend her. She is out of town right now but I think she should be back around the 20th?

Liz is back now...just ordered an alto flute from her (pretty excited). I posted recently about the excellent experience that I had buying a Yama 221 with upgrade headjoint from her. Great person to deal with, good flute for a fair price.

Hahaha.just an update.

I have also just ordered a professional cut CY headjoint for my 381 flute. Finally my search for my first proper handcut headjoint is over. Looking forward to lay my lips on it!

I just got a phone call from her today, so she is there. Sometimes, it takes her a few days to respond. There has been times where she hasn't gotten my messages before so you may want to try again. It may be going into her spam folder.
