i had a house fire recently and lost much of my music to it. with that, i now need my bach sonata in e major - the urtext version. and that book is like... $30. and thats $30 i dont have and thats also a $10 shipping fee that i, once again, dont have. does anyone have the URTEXT version of the bach sonata in e major? if so, would you like to email it to me? i would probably come and kiss you.

Oh.. I am so sorry to hear about your house fire.

I do have the bach sonata in e major, but I am not sure which version it is as it is not marked. It came on CD sheet music. If you would still like it for the time being, let me know your email adress and I will send it to you.

I just have to comment that Urtext is WAY too expensive! Those are the versions we have to usefor baroque/Mozart...I go broke every semester when I hveto buy rep. Although, this year I will be going broke because of my new flute!

Dennis, oh Dennis....

Cheaper copies of the baroque classics tend to be way over-edited with all kinds of dynamics and, sometimes, questionable articulations...the urtext, try Peters urtext if you don't want to pay too much, have little or no articulations and dynamics, the way they were played during the baroque period..you can then pencil in the articulations you like..they also are generally printed on nice clean paper with a yellowish tint which is easier on the eyes...so spend the extra $$$ and get good urtext, look on Ebay for good used copies, I may even have some I can sell to you for bargain basement prices...

Yeah, but I don't follow dynamics or articulations I don't personally agree with. Not to mention that baroque music is my least favorite...I tend to do wacky things with the ornamentation to make it more to my liking.

No...most of the music on our rep list has certain editions that we have to purchase. Since my teacher is a baroque specialist she likes certain things, and it carries over to the other rep.
