i have heared that piano music can also double as flute music. and that they are basicly the same is that true???

Really? I thought pianos were in Bb... I mean, when the conductor asks the everyone to tune to a Bb, they play a piano C, while flutes play a flute Bb.

nope...if the flutes are tuning Bb to the piano the piano is playing its Bb as well

so yes you could play the notes on the top staff on the flute (except the range of the piano is obviously far greater than that of the flute) and it would be correct
they are both c instruments
the bottom staff is a differnt clef though

i always thought this was weird, but i learned how to play piano by playing the flute. then i looked at some piano sheet music and flute sheet music (for the same songs) and the top register (treble cleft) was exactly the same. of coarse bass is not the same as flute
