hi me again. my new band director gave us rapsody in blue by george and ira gershwin and i and he explained that they are double flats but didn't explain their effect or fingerings or nothin. also i went to the flute fingering chart in one of my old books and on this site and neither seem to have the fingering for Fb third octave. i was wondering if someone else can get me the fingering if known.

micron, are you trying to say instead of it being a half a step lower like normal flats it's a whole step lower? ex. an Fbb is the same as an E natural? just trying to interpruet what you're saying.

no an Fbb would be an Eb, but you dont ever see that, you see Gbb which is F
