hi, can anyone tell me if there is any difference between sheet music for a piano and sheet music for a flute, i have some sheet music that was in a piano book but not sure if i can play it on the flute would it be in the correct key?

Yes, you can play piano music on flute as piano is the key of C just as the flute is. Just take the melody line.
