Last week, i was trying the Miyzawa 102 with different headjoints since me and the M6 arn't wonderful together..(I tend to overblow as im used to a flute with much more resistance) and I *think* i tried all of them, and the M-5 with a 14k riser sounded the best. Before i tried it, the person thats been helping us with flutes said she doesn't like it very much herself, but i tried it anyway..she was kinda surprised I sounded best on it.

Then i was telling my flute teacher about it today, and she was like.. "Hmmm thats interesting!" What? Is there something "wrong" with the M5 headjoint?? lol! Just kinda wondering why they both thought it was odd that I liked that one the best :P

Anyone know?? :P

No, there is nothing odd about it. I tend to like and sound good on most headjoints that are not very popular. Everyone is different. If you sound good on it nad it is what you like, then that is what matters. I tend to think that Miyazawa would not offer the headjoint with the rest of the line of them if it didn't sell.

Nice reply There's a headjoint for everyone. Some of the oddest combinations of shape and cut give great results, so it's always a good thing to try different ones.
