as a player of a REAL Haynes, I found that both amusing and offensive, I complained to the guy who is selling it...claims he worked for Haynes...Allen at Haynes would probably know..

His reasoning for creating the brand "DC Pro" is humorous too....Apparently there was a big need for another open hole flute of dubious quality on the market.

I did call the Haynes Co myself to alert them and they will be contacting him. They have no records of any Dominc ever working for them.

* DC PRO IS MY OWN BRAND THAT I DESIGNED MYSELF
* AND HAD MADE FOR ME, WITH MY SPECS..
****
This pretty much tells you what the deal is.

He had come company in China most likely make him a Haynes "clone" for a few hundred dollars and is passing it off as something decent. Ship an old Haynes to China and have them make a high quality clone(well for China at least). It probably plays about as well as a typical student model. Too bad he isn't charging the $300 it costs to actually make.

If he was that skilled, he'd start his own company. Making a flute isn't impossible for someone who supposedly worked at a major company in the past.

I got my daily bit of entertainment Thanks.

It could stand for Miyazawa too. If it isn't gold though it sucks. *Grins*

Looks like that same add it still up. I guess the Haynes company didn't contact him. Judging from his other ads, I would not trust the guy personally.
