Any school with a good teacher can be a good place to study, even if it doesn't have the fame attached to it that Julliard or Eastman do...Cal State Sacramento has Laurel Zucker, Jim Walker is at USC Thornton, Chris Potter teaches in Boulder, Colorado, etc. Find a performer (if you haven't already) whose sound and interpretations you like, and then take a look here:

and see if they aren't teaching. After all, you're mainly after the education (and thus the teacher) rather than the school name, so find someone who you think you'd be interested in studying with, and then do some research about the school they're at. Good luck to you!

this list may be helpful, but it really depends on what your looking for:
University of North Texas, they are very innovative and focus a lot on tone developement
Unlv, again very innovative in the music they play. Not really classical at all they like to work on good technique.
