I'm not sure whether it scans:
Technical analysis is just as much fun for me as composition; I shouldn't want it to intimidate anyone.

Scotch, your comments are not intimidating and my question was not ironic.

I confess I was surprised at the beginning as I was not aware that limericks were such a serious genre, with very strict rules that cannot be changed. Sorry for ignoring this but it is true it has been my first approach to them.
You have been quite technically minded, yes; I am afraid I could not understand some of the details about rhyme and rhythm of my limerick that you kindly posted. But I did not want to stop the flow of poems that was getting in with technical issues that may not interest others.

There may be soon other poems, made by not-native English speakers, that could be posted directly or through my account, as I have spread the word about this particular thread among my friends. It is interesting to know whether they scan or not, as most of us are learning how to make them correctly and having fun at the same time.

Since certain posters, placards, or billboards may or may not have been taking certain liberties
with rhythm, reason,
or rhyme
(you can't with'em reason),
it's time
we laid down some rules:

LIMERICK PARKING TEMPORARY RULES, 1970.

I, MICHAEL J. WYMES, Commissioner of the Garda Síochána in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 90 (7) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) (as amended by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968)), and with the consent of the Minister for Local Government, hereby make the following temporary rules in respect of the area comprising the county borough of Limerick:

1. These rules may be cited as the Limerick Parking Temporary Rules, 1970.

2. These rules shall come into operation on the 29th day of August, 1970.

3. These rules shall apply to the area comprising the county borough of Limerick.

4. (1) In these rules—

"business hours" means the period from 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on a weekday which is not a holiday;

______________
And so on....
