I would like to thank all of the members of the forum who were kind enough to respond to my request for head-joint info.

Until I joined the forum, I never realized (nor was I ever told) how important the head-joint is, for several reasons.

I did take everyone's advice and tried different head-joints, and settled on "marrying" a new Yamaha with an older Haynes head-joint, and found the difference remarkable.

You've helped open up a new world of flute playing for me.
