Thanks for your interest, but I am fat and I really hate being on camera and being called names because of it (even when it is not my fault . I took the one of me playing piccolo down because I got tired of reading rude comments. On top of that, my camera is not working. I have a crappy digital camera and the sound is horrible on it. I admit I am not good with computer technology, so whenever I try to record anything, it comes out all distorted. My animals are alwasy happy to put a show on for the camera though. lol!!

Being called names because of a physical trait may be a way of allowing these name callers a way of weeding themselves out of the group of people worthy of being called your friends.
In spite of society's uneducated and unsympathetic beliefs, certain physical traits may not always be totally controllable by the individuals.

I haven't seen your video Kara. Everyone is correct. We are all different and beautiful. People who judge based on looks are shallow.

I have noticed that people are very mean on you tube.

All of the beginner flute players are getting bad reviews.

We all had to start somewhere. I have just started again so I know that I am not good yet.

Don't let a few shallow and ignorant people get you down. A lot of people think your playing is great. You should be very proud!

I will just delete any mean comments and look back to this thread for encouragement when I need it. I know I shouldn't let those nasty comments get to me, but I am a bit of a perfectionist, I know I am not perfect or will ever be on flute or piccolo.

If I can get my camera fixed (even though it has horrible sound) I will seriously think about making another video.

The only time I got to play Stars and Stripes was when I was playing percussion with the Gadsden symphony (1992-1993). We did it as an encore and the piece was passed out on the spot. We had never rehursed it. I wish I could have heard the piccolo solo but I was too busy trying to sight read the 4 mallet bell part. I am just glad that I didn't hit a wrong note.
