If you have noticed in some of the forums, I have said I cant wait until I get my new flute!! Well, now its literaly days away. Here are my options, I had to limit it down from about 12, and gave each a score, but I only played them for about a minute each. NOW... I am going to play each for about 2 hours. Here is what they are:
Avanti 1000
Azumi 3000
Amadeus Af700
Brio!B2
Sonare 601

Congrats!! How exciting!! I wish that they would have had the new Avanti flutes at the flute fair because I wanted to try one. I have heard nothing but praise about them. Is the Brio! flute that you are considering the rose gold plated model? That is the one I liked, but prefer the silver color personally. Did you get to try the Lyric flutes at all? I really liked them a lot. I also think that the Amedeus line was nice. I got to try one for a while before I sold it. It had the C# trill key on it in which I love!

Please keep us posted. I can't wait to hear what you decide upon! Best of luck!

The Brio! is not the gold plated one. i wish, but thats in the 3000's and my parents only want to spend around 2. No iI really wish though I could try the Lyric but they are only made in very limited qualitys, and Kesslers sells them so fast there not even on the line they say they sell. But I will tell you about them when I play them!

For 3K, also look at the Yamaha 500 series and the Pearl, Muramatsu, and so on... a lot of flutes can be had for this price range or less if you shop around first and then but online.
