So we had solo/ensemble yesterday, overall I had a fantastic day! I got four division 1 ratings for a flute solo, violin solo, trio (flute, violin and clarinet, i played violin) and a string double quartet, I played violin)

I am pretty disappointed in how I played my violin solo as I played it way under the level I normally do but I still got a division 1. I seriously cannot figure out how, I think the judge just really liked the song lol. I guess it was still ok, but I knew I could have played it TONS better..I was not very happy after I played it, and i was SO nervous when they were putting the ratings up.

My flute solo was amazing though. I played it SO much better than last week, I'm just sad I didn't get to play the entire thing because of the time limit..

I'm excited to get our comment sheets back tomorrow at school

Very well done! I think one of the things that most catches my ear about your playing is the cleanliness of your beginning middle and end of your trills. 11 years playing and i'd say pure, clean trills/grace notes are one of my biggest weaknesses.

Point wise, I got 34/35 for both my solos The only thing I got one point of for flute was at like 1:08 in the video..
