I'm not at all sure what you mean but I have a bamboo flute and it has a large bore with large finger holes. These features make the sound a bit louder, especially with fingerings that have the holes open nearer to the ears.

That being said, you control the sound. If your lips allow it to be harsh then it's not the flute.

the flute, key of F if not mistaken cause im not an expert but it says in the chord list key of F flute.

the holes are like this

( ) ()()() ()()()()

Also there are lots of times that the flute produces two types of sounds for example if I sound the C note there are two types the lower C and sometimes a higher type of C like a sound that an ambulance pruduces inconsistent sound up and down.

If it's in the key of F, fingering B will sound B flat.

I have a number of bamboo flutes and I find that a lot depends on the manufacture and how well the embouchure is finished. Usually their scale is not as accurate as that of a metal flute, has a different sound (of course) and you have to direct your air stream in a different way than a metal flute. Sometime I have to retrain a bit when I switch between metal and 'boo. Love them both but I do find the bamboo a bit more difficult to play- practice practice practice is the cure I am sure.

It seems to me a metal flute should be significantly harder than a bamboo flute. The lightest--least hard--flute may be a balsa wood flute--if there be such a thing.

There are many bamboo flutes that are built and played like penny whistle with an embouchure hole instead of a fipple. Most are 6 holes (plus the embouchure hole. There are some with more including a thumb hole and a hole for your RH pinky.

As Bilbo pointed out, Not all Bamboo flutes are equal. If you are trying to play that lowest fingered C and are getting a fluctuation, it could be just a poor design or small crack leak. If the bore is pretty rough there is often residue in there that could be shifting back and forth causing that also.

Could be a bunch of things with Bamboo. Bamboo flutes are not inferior, just different. If you get a good one or rework one to be a good one, they are quite beautiful and very expressive. Marco Leinhard is exceptional on Shakuhachi. Listen to a snipet on CDbaby

Mononoke is my favorite...

And there are many other that play traditional bamboo shinobue, or many other forms of bamboo flutes. A bad instrument will never have good tone. If you have a good tone on regular flute, you will on a good bamboo flute as well.

That's my favorite Bamboo flute in my Avatar.

bamboo flutes are generally inferior to all other types of flute.

Your description of the holes i a little confusing.

Is it:

( ) ()()() ()()()()

or

[ ] ()()()() ()()()

or

{} {}{} {}{}{} {}{}

...because once you can be sure of what you've got then I can be sure of how bad it really is. Some people switch to bamboo flutes when they realize that their "tone" is not good, thus hiding it from their own conscience and the world.

Hope that is substantial enough for you!

its totally like this [] OOO OOOO
the [] is the blow hole and I blow it sideways

Thanks

I posted about my Chinese bamboo flutes some time ago! when properly played by a trained flutist on this kind of flutes, they have a wonderfull sound! my experience is that they are very difficult to play, gives me a headache,! and my eyeballs feels like popping out! I haven't given up yet!!! Maybe I don't know enough about them. I wonder whether they use the same ones in the Beijing or Shanghai conservatorium of music!
