depends on the period you are playing from..

the Devienne concerti are very nice and fun to play, as are many of the italian concerti by Pergolesi and Tartini, etc..also the concerti from the 18th cen. french courts by Naudot, Loeillet or ones by Quantz and CPE Bach..

Another suggestion..it is not a "concerto" but I have seen it classified and called one before.

Fantasia para un gentlehombre by Rodrigo..this is an amazing piece. So fun to play

It is a lovely piece..it is 4 movements based on 6 spanish dances (first 2 movments are 2 dances each). It is originally for guitar and orch but james galway transcribed it for flute because he really liked the piece..there is a galway recording of it (also joan g'froerer v on on naxos)

it is easier than the concerto partorale for sure, but I find it more musically satisfying

guitar versions

1st movt:

2nd movtactually found a flute version)

ok- he skipped part of it (the second dance) so here is the full movt (on guitar) 2nd dance starts at 4:15

3rd movt : (so fun to play - the ending is different in flute version...fast and high)
