Hi, I've been trying to find reviews and info on the Sonare alto flutes (along with all the other brands too), and there isn't much out there on the forums (have done the searches), especially recently for the Sonares. And since the specs and manufacturing, change over time, I would really appreciate some up to date input on them if possible.
I'm primarily interested in either the AF-50 (silver riser) or the AF-60 (silver head) models. I am most concerned with tonal qualities and reliability compared to other altos in the same approximate price range.
My first choice though, just from what I've read on the web is the DiMedici alto, for overall best feedback from what I've seen.
I'm not very concerned with the 3rd octave, as I play for my own enjoyment, and just want a great low octave and midrange mostly, and yes, reliability, so I don't have to worry about frequent servicing or high maintenance costs.
One other concern is that it would probably be more comfortable for me if the left hand be closer to the body as the Sonare and DiMedici altos are made; so my interest in them.
Thanks for your help!
