Hi,
I live in a small town in Oman where there are no instrument shops and nobody is familiar with western instruments. I recently purchased an old and terrible flute in Turkey after much searching(the atmosphere here, a combination of dry desert air meets humid salt sea air, would ruin any decent instrument in weeks). On returning with it to Oman, I find that I cannot get it to play B flat in either register but particularly bad in the lower octave, and neither can I differentiate between third octave F and F sharp. I have looked over the flute and cannot see anything loose but i am notoriously bad at small fidgety things. Please, can someone direct me where to look to fix this problem, and I will attempt to locate some miniature screwdrivers in this place. I don't mind bending keys if that is what is necessary, as I just want to be able to play it.
Many thanks in advance, Rosemouse
