hello all..
i recently decided to sell my piccolo when i realized that i had moved yet again after 2 years and had only ever gotten it out to make sure it was still in good condition or to take it in for it's checkup. i honestly don't remember how much i paid for it as i bought it sometime in 1999. I am primarily a clarinetist and had only ever used it for a few gigs, mostly pit stuff, and no longer have a need of it. In reading a few of the other threads on here, i realized that selling it on Ebay may not be the best idea, so i'm also looking for suggestions on the best way to go about getting it to a loving new owner who might have a chance to play it more than i have.
anyway, on to the picc, although not a pic, i'm sorry...digital cam is down for the count. it is labeled a Roy Seaman. the serial number is in the 4700 family, so my suspicion is that it is actually an earlier version of what is now known as the Roy Seaman LTD by Gemeinhardt. I remember very little of what i was told when i bought it, and only know that i loved the tone for the way it blended with other wooden instruments. much clearer and yet mellower than any metal, and many other wooden piccs i had played to that point.
so there you have it. would love to hear from anyone on suggested asking price as well as where i might be able to sell it.
thanks for all of your input. i will respond to any questions as quickly as i can.
Daniel
