I was searching online for flute things and came across an awsome idea to use extra flute keys for jewerly. Unfortunately they were much to expensive for my budget so I was hoping that i could find a place to buy extra keys to make my own. Does anyone know of a place i can find some. Please and thankyou.

Buying spare keys new is expensive, if you can find them, but maybe the thing to do is buy junk - or cheap Chinese rubbish - flutes on E-bay.

You might also put a 'wanted' ad on usedflutes.com, stating that you are looking for junker flutes with keys that you can make into jewelry. You might even find one with solid silver keys (not plated), if it's bent in half or otherwise unrepairable.

I saw those on ebay and I wanted to get one but I thought it would be easy to make them also, I thought to make them and sell them for cheaper than what the person on ebay is selling them for. I just need to find extra flute keys too. If anyone finds just the keys let me know.
Thanks

I can't resist this.....When you buy a Altus, they will give you a spare left-finger C key as a sovenir, it comes with a mobile-phone-string. My uncle didn't like it, so he gave it to me, and I bought a necklace chain to make it a necklace, yay!! Pretty!! After I wore it for 3 months, I got tired of it. I gave the necklace to my friend, and he gave it to his girlfriend, now they broke up... I can't take photos of it now. But my online friend in a Chinese flute forum did the exact same thing as I did, and she took photos of her necklace, so I show you, so you can copy and make one.

Disclaimer: this is not an item you can buy anywhere in the world, not a vendor item, nor a ebay item, it's a necklace my online friend made it, from Altus sovenir comes with her Altus flute when bought, she made it with necklace chain she bought herself.

The C-key is orginally silver plated, has engraved with the word 'Altus'

Some ebay vendor used to sell keys as necklace and ear-rings, and they engrave your initial for you, pretty cheap price, but seems they don't do it anymore, maybe run out of keys?? LOL...

Disclaimer: above are links to a Chinese flute forum, that they still keep the ebay photos. Note the website is not mine, I have nothing to do with it whatsoever.

(after what happened last time, I must be very careful with words and links)
