Hello all,

I am Juliet

I am playing a flute solo at my wedding reception. I used the gynopedie for flute sheet music here. I was wondering if the piano accompaniment is available. I will subscribe for the 20.00$ if it is. I would hate to toss down the money if it isn't there. This is very important to me.

check out fluteworld.com, look under flute and piano music under letter S, then search Satie, and you should find it without too much trouble

This place has the piano sheet music for free:

http://www.easysheetmusic.com/view_page.asp?book=popular_classics&piece=satie_gymnopedie

But if you want a mp3 for playing along accompaniment, then you must input this file into a music notation SW and produce a playable file that can be exported as mp3. Not difficult but lots of things involved. Not for a close wedding aniversary, I'm afraid.

Please clarify what you need and I may try to do it for you. How much time do you have before the concert?

I saw the link. It is with the same notes, so that is great! I will play it this Saturday.

Thank you for the offer. I don't want you to go to any trouble. I may have to play along with the 8 note midi or find a friend to play for me.

I've found the accompaniment, but in the wrong key

Thanks for the info!

J

To play along with a midi is not, (IMO), very nice sounding.

If you have a midi you can use (I do not get what midi is that), it is very easy to change it to piano or any other instrument you want and make a mp3 out of it. Then it will sound "almost" as a real instrument. Have a try at some of the files I have uploaded on my profile . Most were made with this procedure.

Tell me where the midi is and I will try anyway, I also like Sati's music very much.

Changing the key of the accompaniment is easy -once you have it as file in music notation software. If you have the midi of it it's a question of minutes.

Or it could be possible to change the key of the flute part to fit the accompaniment, if you have the midi of it (this is what I had understood from your first post, as in this site there is a midi file for the flute part (and other instruments, but not piano). But changing the key to fit the accompaniment you have found could make the piece more difficult to play on the flute.

I found an accompaniment on piano accompaniment.com. It will cost me $6, but it is okay, because the MP3 will go to my computer instantly.

Thank you for your help.

I really enjoy this forum.
