ok, i recently got braces and now my flute sounds terrible because I can't position my mouth like I used to. any suggestions? I have a solo in a concert coming up!

When you get braces it changes the shape of your mouth. I got braces 9 or 10 months ago and it took me a little while to find a new position that worked for me. You just have to try and find a spot the makes it sound like it did before. Good luck with your concert!

When I got braces I sounded a bit airy for a week or two and then I adjusted.. I don't really think there's anything you could do other then practice. This also happened again when I took my braces off, I had to get adjusted again and that took about a week..

i have braces, when i first got them my sound was horrible, i felt as if i was going to cry cause my loverly sound was ruined but after about a week the sound gets better and before you know it, it is back to how it was before.
