Today I rented a Olds piccolo for marching band. It seems like a pretty nice picc. Can anyone tell me if this is a good brand? Or is it kind of a lower end brand? Thanks

By the way, it's a NL78G model.

Oh okay thanks a lot! Yes it says Elkhart...that's a huge relief knowing that it's possibly a Gemeinhardt. I was worried the music store gave me some low quality generic piccolo :P

Who cares. If you like it then that is all that should matter. If brands really matter that much to you then take out a loan and buy yourself a Burkart piccolo.

Wow. My point was, I didn't want invest in a piccolo that was going to break within a couple months. No need to get too excited over the subject.

Just my 2 cents. I have had my Olds brand piccolo for 18 years now. It's still perfect pitch and stays in tune. It's a great little instrument.
