After playing the flute for a while I always have pain on my lower front teeth. And I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to be happening.......
So I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and knows what the solution is?

I used to have this problem, exactly as you described. I found out I was moving my jaw way too much. After dealing with this problem, the pain went away and I wasn't so tired after playing for hours. Maybe there's a connection between jaw movement and teeth pain, maybe not. This was just my experience. I'm interested to hear other people's opinions on this. Good luck!

Sorry I haven't responded......this topic got deep down in the bowels of the this forum and I honestly forgot about it xD.

I believe Micron it is a combination of your first and third suggestion. I guess the solution to the first problem is simply be aware of it and not press the flute hard against my teeth.

But I think the third one is the real issue. I honestly feel that I can't make a good tone if I don't taut my lower somewhat. Or even my upper lip. If I just relax, the sound just gets really unfocused and spready.
