So I recently got my piccolo! Woo!

We had to take it to the shop to get some repairs done, though. Apparently it has the wrong type of pads, so even though they're new we'll have to eventually get all of the pads replaced for three hundred dollars. My dad said we could do that later. Haha.

Anyways. While it was at the shop, it had to stay overnight because there was a horrid leak he couldn't fix right then. So he wanted the serial number, right? He looked all over the piccolo and couldn't find one!

My piccolo doesn't have a serial number. Anyone heard of this with Emerson Piccolos?

It's kind of worrying...?

How much did you spend on the piccolo in the first place? Where did you get it? I would take it back to where you got it. After the repairs you most likely would be spending the same amount as a new one.

We got it for a hundred dollars off of ebay. But it is a true Emerson piccolo - it just doesn't have a serial number.

Most Emerson piccolos go for a lot more than four hundred dollars, I believe. And it still plays very, very well even without the correct pads.

Student Emerson's usually got for $300 tops on eBay. Glad you got a bargain then. Weird about the serial #!
