yes pyrioni I was asked by many asians, and I know what you mean by instruments in asia using circular breathing, I just know some of the best flute players in the world who never use it, as I don't...breath is what makes the flute such a great instrument

that said, I do admire the work it takes to get good at that skill, and that is how I answered that question..

OFF TOPIC RANT: Pardons for being too new here to understand the politics but what is it with this negative vote routine? In the space of only a couple hours someone (or a few) has come here and given one member enough negatives to have that person's posts concealed, forcing other readers to go through extra rodent hoops to see the content. Having done that now, I do not understand the reasoning (if any) behind the negative voting (or why 8notes even has this feature). I found the "negated" poster's messages *at least* as informative as many others. It seems to be a collective yet undeserving attack against one person. What is going on here? We end up having to click on the concealed posts just to see who posted them in the first place; why are you negativists forcing us to do that? Is this forum moderated? Who do I ask about this?

This thread was about circular breathing. I can understand people interested in the subject wanting to come here and at least read and share information. I suspect that the technique is tough (would be for me) to master and that in my own hobbyist life, I might not get anywhere with it, but I see these petty targeted attacks against one member for NO REASON to be something of a disease. I respect the right of anyone to disagree here, but I object to being forced to go through extra steps to get to content that a handful of members have concealed as a result of targeted bullying.

Hotair, I was just going to ask the exact same question. I did not start this post so that someone could make Pyrioni look bad. Pyrioni was very helpful to me and I and others would appreciate if whoever is doing this would stop and this post could be about its original topic instead.

Hmm.. now who could Hotair be? The wording and writing seem awfully familiar.

Micron, obviously people vote his posts down because we don't like him after everything he has pulled on this forum. My posts get voted down too because I am a jerk. So be it. I am not going to go crying to my friends about it. Write to the moderator if you want, but what are they going to do about it if people choose to vote his posts down?

<Added>

Here we go.. now time for a Micron rant to blame everything on Kara!

My mistake. I slipped and was addressing Micron while I mean to address Hotair. Please pardon the mistake.

Haha! I have a fan club! Someone already voted my post up. And NO I didn't do it either. Thanks!

Wow! And now in just the past minute Py's posts have gone up three thumbs up. Go figure! How ironic is that!

binx, please don't let that whole thing with mircon start up again, let sleeping dogs lie. Why is it that the flute forum cannot have more than 10 replies to a post before some pointless argument breaks out? Who cares who hotair is? If that what he (sorry if you are a she) believes what he wrote about then let him believe that even if you do not agree...

<Added>

Besides, we are all just people looking for flute advice, not looking for an argument.

Well it looks like I stepped in a big one and can't scrape it off fast enough. Binx, for Micron's sake I'll state here that I am not him, though I know his name and profession and nationality, and I think I also know Kate (maybe even sold her a flute some years ago, if she's Fluteragious; Kate, forgive please if I'm mistaken). Nonetheless, I'll take the implied resemblance to Micron as a complement, thank you. Having said that, I will now bow outta here and let ya'll do your thang. It's not for me.

If you look in my last post in this thread, you will see that I brought up the same question as hotair did but some how it got over looked when I was the one to point it out.
