ok so my friend is getting rid of her piccolo to help fund a better flute, (mind u she made all state in texas 4 times on a bundy),

im lookin at buying her piccolo, but im kinda worried as to the quality of gemeinhardt, i know they are not the best at making flutes, but how are their piccolos/.i dont plan to play professionaly, just for fun every now and then

anybody had any experience with this brand/model?
or should i wait and buy something better at a later time

When I was shopping for piccolos, I tried one, and I thought that it was very well made for the price. Gemeinhardt's piccolos are a little better than their flutes are. I would say that if you like the way that it plays, then go for it. Granted, its not going to be a Burkart, Keefe, or Hammig, but it will still be of decent quality

Gemeinhardt flutes, are not the best brand. However, their piccolo's are way better than their flutes. If your just using it to play for fun, not profesionally, go for it!
