Next Monday I have my student audition. This time I will play 1st flute of the Adagio piano from JS Bach Triosonate BWV1039. Rather an easy and slow piece but with a very exposed long solo at the end, which requires a very good tone and I a still trying to get it. Also a couple of slurs are probing to be difficult to control, such as middle E to B and mddl E to C. The high note sounds too strident or otherwise it can break and fail, I still cannot get it right every time. A solution is not to slur them, but it is a challenge for me and I would rather fail there than desist in advance.

We had prepared this short piece as a duet with a colleague, but unfortunately he cannot attend this Monday and I will play it with my teacher. So it will sound much better as I tend to imitate her beautiful sound an improve mine automatically, but it is less a challenge.
