Hello, I and looking for a piccolo and am between two models. The yamaha 32 and the gemeinhardt 4p. Here's some backstory first...

I studied flute in university for two years, but changed programs due to my lack of piano skills (my school made keyboard harmony part of te theory course) and it dragged me down too much. Anyways, I stopped playing flute for a while. My flute is 40 years old, open hole, and has seen better days. So instead of buying a new flute to play casually, I am looking for a pic.

I played the 32 in high school, and it was fine. However I want to give the 4p a shot since I wanna try out the style. I want new, and on ebay both pics are the same general price. This will be mainly for solo casual playing so I can keep up some sort of musical practice and maybe play withna piano one day.

Any input or suggestions would be great. Also, for buying new what are good prices for those models?
