My Jupiter Flute has a worn out pad (the one that makes it so that the key that you press down in b-flat but not b presses down the key that also is pressed down with a different key) and so I found a sticker to hold it in place until I could go into the shop with it. Luckily it worked- until I forgot about it. Now it is fluttering slightly when I go from a note pressing the right middle finger key down to something like c then a high f, the middle finger key flutters. Sometimes. What should I do. The flute was my aunts back in high school (so probably not too long ago, maybe 10 years) and so until a few years ago it was in an attic or basement in Central Massachusetts. Could that be anything to do with it? And do I need to take it into the shop? How much will it be?

Sounds like a trip to a flute tech is in order. Considering the age of the flute, there are probably additional things he can adjust to make it much more playable. Its amazing what a difference a few adjustments can make. You'll be pleasantly surprised and probably enjoy playing it much more.
