w.t. armstrong sn#66968 its in vary good condition, my wife used to play for her school band. we were interested in seeing what it is worth. we have dated it back to between 1945-1965 but that's all we could really find on it. any ideas?

I hate to say this because I own one from 1965 myself but generally the flutes from Armstrong were not very expensive when new as most of them being sold were student line (Silver plated). Their condition at this point wouldn't make them very valuable as a usable musical instrument. Even if it were of a more precious metal such as solid silver, it may only be worth the value of the metal in weight.
