Just wondering if anyone has ever played a Tempest flute, whether they are well made? Was looking at the solid silver 700 series, looks like a nice flute, and cheap for hand cut.

Cheers

I have test played a tempest flute, and I am about to purchase one. I am more of a recreational player these days, though, not a professional by any means. I used to play a Muramatsu years ago, and in comparison the response to touch is very similar, and tone quality is similar as well; however, it is hard to compare any flute to a Muramatsu in my opinion...The Tempest does have a nice tone quality and tuning, but since they are new it will be difficult to tell how they will hold up over time as compared to other brands until such time lapses. Hope this helps!

My great uncle use to play tempest flute. It is very rare. You seem too young to play that. That pretty cool that you are into it.
