I have been away from the forum for quite a long time. I am back with a question:

Is it normal to have to replace all pads on a Yamaha YFL 674 (silver 925 intermediate flute, open plates) after some 2000 to 2500 hours (or 8 years) of non professional use?

What would be the expected useful life for the original Yamaha pads, when used by a student/amateur?
