I tried out different flutes and I'm torn. I cannot chose between the Azumi and the Powell. Can you guys list some pro's and con's for each of these brands and what you recommend?
I have tried out the Azumi AZ2RBO and the Powell Metro. The Azumi has a defined, yet airy voice. The Powell Metro is pretty good, but it didn't pop out at me. It's probably just me, but I don't know.
Which do you think is better? What brand do you recommend in the professional long run?

I don't know a lot about Azumi, but I did play a Powell for about 4 years when I was a member of the Royal Australian Air Force Band and I absolutely loved the powell. It was so responsive, and I was able to get a range of colours out of the flute that I couldn't on other flutes. The sound was big and direct. I usually like gold head joints, but with this flute I just loved the silver head joint because of the greater range of tone colours. Sadly I don't have the flute anymore as it was property of Defence and I have left the band, but if I were looking for another flute now, I would go straight for Powell. I currently play an Altus.
