Hmmm... solo tips... try not to get to nervous... umm... dress nice... give the judges a good impression ... say something like,"Hey, How are you?" It makes them think you are quite confident in yourself because most people when they are nervous they don`t speak to the judges... so give it a try

Just do the best you can do ,and the judges will know you did great ,and you`ll get a great rating.

Ok...a teacher taught me this b4...and it improves ur sound...just by the way you stand...
1.) stand about a foot away from the stand.
2.) feet about shoulder width apart.
3.) stand kinda sidways...not straight on with the stand.
4.) stand completly straight.
5.) stand top should not go above ur shoulers.

Ok, that`s what I`ve learned...give it a try, and practice...it`ll feel weird at first!

smile!
if you are nervous, pretend you are an actress, dont show it!
dont cover up your face with your stand.
feet position, if you are wearing a skirt feet together, if pant your can widen your stance slightly.
before a performance, pratice playing infront of people.
if you are performing by memory, then pick a spot in the room, and watch it. imagine you are in a room, by yourself and the walls are made up of your music, close the door, and you are engulfed in your music, nothing else to think about!
bow! or curtsey, if you bow look to your toes, and say watermelon, or something of equal length so you dont bow to fast.
always smile. even if you didnt do your best pretend you did, and the audience will think you do well too.
if you mess up, dont dwell, if you forget about the mistake, the audience will too.

If you eat a banana soon before a preformance the high levels of potassium in it help to calm your nerves.
