Oh ok.Well vibrato lets see.....I can do it quite well, but it is hard to explain.Well start off playing a scale in whole notes,do triplet vibrato(three pulses a beat)at first take it slow, then get faster. You use your diaphram, just think about using your stomache to make the air vibrato.I hope I nearly made sense lol.

Set your metronome at 60 beats per minute, then play a G Major scale up and down in quarter notes with a "who," a "ha," or a "heh" articulation: don`t use your tongue, only use your air. Then play up and down in eighth notes, then triplets, then sixteenth notes (it`s okay to feel yourself bouncing when you go fast). Make sure you leave as much space between the notes as possible. Once you`ve done that for a couple weeks, mush the sixteenth notes together (get rid of the silent parts by filling them with sound), and you have vibrato.

to do vibrato you can play a note say f so the way i was taught to hold the f for four counts then go woo into your flute and while doing that use diaframatic pushes and push the air its hard to do at first but gets much easier you can play scales and other things but to start out just hold one note i recommend g or f but whatever note you feel most comfortable with
hope i helped

i am the master at vibratos. Not to show off or anything but it`s true. I`m a freshman in high school and i`m the flute section leader. I had to audition to get into my school`s Wind Orchestra and i got first chair because i did a vibrato in every single note. i can`t really explain it but it has to do with your throat. sing (not play) a high not. you should hear a vibrato. feel what your throat is doing and try to get that feeling when you play the flute. You should start out by the lowest notes. They are super easy to do. Hope that helped.

Gah! I hate vibrato. I`ve been playing for...like 4 1/2 years and I`m just now learning how lol. It`s so dumb, I mean I honestly don`t even think it makes stuff sound any better. It`s like I`m doing it but I move my shoulders and everything and it just doesn`t work and grr! Vibrato sucks.
