I was just curious to know some of the field shows that members of marching band are performing.

you don`t have to put what school you`re from but I also want to know what division your band is.

aigh, my school is doin miss siagon, super fun stuff music rocks so much... and it`s kinda funny... @ band camp there were 2 school out of 4 doing pirates of the carribean and then one of the schools in my school district is doing pirates 2 it`s hallarious, personally i really don`t like the music 4 pirates, it is not a marching kinda music... it`s super slow and like insanely seporated like 5th grade seporated... yeah but 4 concert it rocks

My school band is play Pirate`s Of The Carribean. I`m a little iffy on our drill, but, it looks good if your in the crowd!

I would hate to be doing Pirates of the Carribean...

only about 10 other schools are doing the same show and it would be really discouraging to see a better band play the exact same show 20 times better and then have to go perform after them lol

I would also not want to be playing Lord of the Rings or Gladiator music unless I was in a band that would do the music justice

On the marching field it is almost always butchered, and then 10 minutes later another band takes the field and kills it even more

Yeah..were doing 1812 overture..its kinda hard, but really cool. Last year for our last concert we played Fate of the Gods, i loved that song. Also, in symphonic orchestra we played Lord Of the Rings.

For my marching bands field show we are doing fantasmic(disneyland show) It is actually really cool and sounds pretty good.I would recommend playing music that most people are familiar with because it will catch more peoples attention.

Lights Action Adventure!Star Wars,Cartoon Show,and Jurassic Park.

Out of the Jungle: Lion Sleeps Tonight, Circle of Life, Funky Monkey (the drum feature), and Jungle Boogie. it`s really pulling together. so far there are 7 schools i know of doing a POTC show! wow!

Lets just say its the most unique thing we`ve done in a long ass time. No more classic rock... muahahaha.

hi im from huntingdon high.....in our show we are doing Jump, Shout, and Boogie....our songs are Bandstand boogie, Copacabana, Hey big spender, and Jump shout and boogie

And is it just me or is alot of people doing Pirates of the Carabian???

We are doing Stormworks. It`s ok...not really a good visual show, but music is "alright"

We had wanted to do Pirates of the Carribean but our directors didn`t want to, so yea. And I heard next year we are doing some Civil War Theme?

We`re doing the classic latin/spanish-y theme that EVERY band seems to do every few years. The actual pieces are pretty original though... I doubt anyone here`s heard of them.

My band is really small... we`re in class AA

I`m also looking for some really cool shows that offer great visuals...something that an audience would really like to hear and gets them involved. Anyone know? or have any ideas?

btw: Fate of the Gods sounds cool, I havent heard all of it though.

My Marching Band is the Michigan State chapions right now! We have been state chapions 6 times in the last 10 years!! Our show is called Phobic. We are the best! We are going to St. Louis next week to compete in Bands of american!!! YAH! WE RULE!! MSHS ROCKS!!
