Well my band season well MB any way is almost over but we`re playing for our on field warm up to the visitors side "Salvation is Created" by some guy whose name i can`t pronounce then we do something dangerous, we about face on four clicks. Then we play "BOHEMIAN RAPHSADY" by QUEEN!!I know I can`t spell oh well. Lets see then theres "No Leaf Clover" by Metallica then of corse with my one GUY section leader doing a little vocal solo (it halarious) we`re doing Ricky Martin`s "Cup of Life". All in all an awsome powerful performance. THough I "hate salvation". Then reverse again after the band dance (anyone else have one?) and we play school song unless of course we`re home then we don`t, we play right till we`re nearly killing our Drum majors. Also my band just does guest and hosting we don`t compete though I think we`re better then some competion bands around us. We`ve got a lot of park and bark this year but then we do flute dances and a whole lotta horn flashes. The visuals are fun and our majorretes use fire batons and our flags are getting btter even our honor guard gets in on it.
Anywhos, I think my band might be alone in this but does anyother band have their name or Emblem or first letter of their school on their marching uniforms REALLY BIG? Also what kind of chickens do you guys have? By the way chickens are the feathery things some put on their hat/helmets.
Also our stands tunes are awsome but people don`t seem to care quite as much about them but we`ve got awsome ones. What kind you other bands have?

Hey everyone,
Last year at my school, we did "House Of Cards". There were four movements, Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds. Our props were these HUGE cards that were like two stories high. This year, no one joined marching band because of certain reasons of personnell, and ways the personnell work with the students. So this year, a bunch of us students are marching at another school. The show over there is called `Industry` with music by Holsinger (Perilous Skys, Tapestry II, Custom made Percussion Transition, and Finale).
Just my 2 cents.

Katie, What School are you from? I think I`ve seen your marching band.... By the way, we do not have our school name or letters on or uniform really big. Actually we dont have it at all. And that thing on your head is called a plume. We have it too. Almost all the schools I`ve seen have it.

I`m from Flagstaff High School in Flagstaff, AZ. This year, our band is doing Mask of Zorro. The music is more difficult than anything that we have ever done, but, it rocks. We have so many visuals. oh yeah, our school is 4A AND we have 90 people in the band this year, the most ever. We were going to do potc but didn`t because the music was really easy.

Well I`m happy to say that I`m a member of the Rosemount High School marching band. Currently flipping the marching world upside down with our awesomeness. Well our show this year is based on Candide by Bernstein. Our drill writers a genius too. Henceforth we got a call from the Parade of Roses director guy and was specifically asked to audition which by my guess doesn`t happen all that often. We`ve won every competition this year, most recently beating Irondale (if any of you know about midwest marching bands there probably about 3rd best) by 4.5 to give us a 93.1 overall. We`re going to Ankony this weekend and hoping to give a good showing there. We march in all different categories since they`re different at competitions but it`s always the highest one. And yeah there is a band that`s doing LOTR I just can`t remember what it was but it wasn`t all that great sounding. Maybe cuz it was class A but still.

This year we are doing A tribut to Chicago (the group) including Make Me Smile, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is, Will You Still Love Me, and 25 Or 6 To 4. I think that the music is really cool and I love the drill. The band also did the show 8 years ago and they had a back drop with the Chicago logo on it that they were authorized to use. It was really ccol but now the back drop is missing. We are in Group 2A this year and we are having alot of fun. I know of two bands doing Pirates of the Carribean one of which is Boston University who played at our homeshow. another was a small band that really did not have enough people to do the show. The strange thing is that there is another band that is doing the same show but they are not in our group because they have a lot more people. We also had the honor of playing for George W Bush at his rally when he came to a city near us. That was a really unique experience even though it was really hot.

Our band is doing "Thriller Nights." We do the theme from Halloween, Thriller (by Michael Jackson), The Finale from Edward Scissorhands (when the credits are rolling), and Night on Bald Mountain (from Fantasia). It`s a lot of fun!

Um, our band took 4th at state with our version of Mask of Zorro. This was the year after we took 2nd at nationals. We had been taking 1st at all the competitions except state so i was glad. Anyways, if any of you saw Merrill High School from Wisconsin this year, tell me how you liked our beatles theme. Nobody liked it, it was fun and all, but we were so unorganized, but that could be because our budget cuts lead to no marching band last year. Anyways, we`re doing Robin Hood next year, so...it`s supposed to be another really good year for us. We`re starting a bit earlier though, and have been organizing it already. Btw, we were about to do Pirates of the Carribean too, but it was too expensive, so our instructor stuck to the beatles, but that`s alright. Our band is known for our Movie themes so look forward to seeing us next year . PS. a band this year....whitnall marching falcons, from WI did a theme called, industrial revolution, it was the wierdest show ever, but if any of you are from whitnall, nice job.

Right now our band is doing a Halloween themed Indoor Marching Show and we`ve been struggling to get some ideas on how to perform. Does anyone have helpful hints on how to perform Halloween music?
