Oh Andrew, I have a guy friend who is a former flute player and is now in drum-line also. He actually switched into percussion permanantly unfortunately, but he still regularly takes flute lessons.

I`m in the Passaic High School Marching Band in Passaic, NJ. When I was in the band in 9th, we played some retarted song and didn`t win anything. So we got a different teacher named Christopher Rusca, which is the best of the best. Then we played "In The Shadow Of Dragons" in 02. We won second in every competition. Then in 03 we played "Medusa" and scored 93.75 in state championships and scored 96.825 in all states championships. Now this year we are playing "The music of the Day." I hope we win this year and maybe compete with really good bands.

I`m from Bradford High School in Bradford, PA. We`re an Open Class band. Our show this year was called "Music Fit for a Tsar." We played Pictures at an Exibition, Polovetsian Dances, Russian Sailors Dance, and Firebird Suite. It was a great show, and we have a wonderful Drill writer.
Next year, I`ll be a senior, and hopefully drum major. I am looking for a really, really great and original show idea. Any suggestions?

it seems that most of the show`s I`ve been reading have been done hundreds of times.

My marching band likes to do original things. This year, we did "The End", which included Farewell symphony, The End (by the doors), The End (by the Beatles), beethovens 9th symphony (his last, of course) and we had candles as props in which the auxillary "put them out" (the flames were flags) at the end of the songs. It was very original and the crowd loved it.

our band did a show based on alot of older fun songs... RESPECT, Brick House, House of the Rising Sun, and Shockufunk (drum break)... it was tons of fun... as for POTC not one band down here in the south has played it... I would love to see one... but anyway... our band is pretty big... we are a 4A in Mississippi but in Alabama, which is mostly where we compete we are a 5A... if y`all were wondering I am from Mississippi...
