Last year my school jumped on the bandwagon and did Star Wars, Deigo`s Goodbye (from the Mask of Zorro), and POTC. This year we did a Latin show (w00t for the bandwagon!) and did Corrado, Perfidia, Pico de Paco (drum feature), and Flight of the Condor. My band director dubbed the show "Chips and Salsa." But we had some great visuals: some dancing and a really awesome turn that the crowd loved. Our last performance was last night and the crowd absolutely loved it. Even one of the judges was clapping for us. *sigh* What a great season...
We`re 4A by the way.

We`ve just finished performing our show at the FBA Marching Festival. It has music from the Broadway musical Spamalot!, lovingly ripped off of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Go KHS flutes!

My band performed Music By George Gershwin. Catfish Row, American In Paris, Piano Concerto in F, and Rhapsody in BLue. THe show wasn`t all that complex, but it`s because over half our band hadn`t ever marched before because 9th grade used to be in Junior high and now its moved up to high school so the show was not as complicated as it coul;bd been. We did all right, but couldve been better.
it was kind of boring though, because the low brass has almost all quarter notes as in all marches. k im leaving now from the forbidden flute forum.

Well, my band is really tiny, only 47 kids.
We are also in class B. Some bands in class b, well are a little bigger than us. Well not a little bigger, a lot bigger. They go from 160 to even 250. I just wish we had more people so we could compete with them. My freshmen year we did West Side Story. My soph. year we did the Blues Brothers. Then this year we did Grease. I just can`t wait til next year we are going to do THE RISE AND FALL OF ROME.
