Hi,
Is it true that Jupiters flutes are really poorly made? I have heard people say that some repairsmen will not work on them. I was hoping to get a Jupiter DiMedici 1011 but now I don`t know. What can you tell me? Please help me out!
Thanks, Kaylee

They are not as bad as they once were, but I could not recommend them. One problem is VERY soft metal.

Hmmm. There are a surprising number of teachers who actually know surprising little about different models and their strengths and weaknesses.

Okay so what other flute models would you recommend that are similar to the Jupiter DiMedici 1011? (It has a solid silver head, body and flute with silver-plated keys, B-foot, pointed arms, etc.) Are the DiMedici models made with a higher standard? Are they possibly better than other Jupiter flutes?

Our repairer thinks they are fine. They are a lot better now than they used to be.

Di Medici is an upmarket version of Jupiter. Altus is their top related name. You get what you pay for.
