When you say Northeast Ohio, I assume the Cleveland area, which there is a Sam Ash Store in Lyndhurst, assuming you can`t find a manuscript book much less a music store near MOA.

I had been thinking about taking up the flute for a few years before I did, but it was my mother, when she said she liked flute music, that got me to start looking for a cheap flute.

I looked again at the site I sent you to for this song, and found a link for HIGH instruments.

May save you some time from transposing it.

well i`m the same amount of distance from erie as i am from cleveland. but my family is full of musicians so i`m sure i can find a manuscript from them. or i`ll see if my mom can stop by the music store on our way to the airport tonight. but it`s all depending on how late wrestling practice gets out today.
Thanks, I found the music for the higher instruments. For some reason the music on that website seems really simple to read. I`m used to really small notes and barely readable (from marching season). I`m also used to complicated rhythms, from concert season. Now that I have the music down, I have to get over my nerves. I think the only reason I have so much trouble playing for my dad`s church is that pretty much the whole church is family and I don`t want to disappoint any of them. Especially my dad.

You`ll do fine...Good Luck, and hope your travels are safe. My wife and I will be driving to Toledo for Christmas, but don`t know, because of the weather, if we will go tomorrow or Friday morning.

Thanks. I was told that we are supposed to get another winter storm today. Drive careful whatever you do. A friend of mine lives out in Toledo. His daughters must be getting so big now. I haven`t seen them in at least two years. Hope you have a fun and safe Christmas. Don`t know how bad the weather has been where you are, but up here it has been terrible! Sunday night it was complete white-out until you got to Madison and then it was like it never snowed. It`s still snowing!!

hey getting the last word happens to run a lot in my family so i must say that i do try my hardest to have the last word. hope you had a good time in toledo. i finally made it to minnesota. but it took just as long as it would if we had driven. the storm had delayed the flight till friday morning. hopefully we don`t have the same problem coming home. i think i got the last word this time. pretty good for not having a working computer huh?

Did finally get out Friday ourselves, then got up and loaded to head to my mother`s for Christmas afternoon (nothing like driving over 600 miles on icy roads, in two days).

I hope your flute playing was better than mine, as I had to play without any warm-up, in the few minutes between loading the car and having breakfast, before hitting the road.

I`ll just have to get back into schedule of practising, now that the busiest holiday is over.

Cheese oh man the weather has been crazy this year. When people want to travel there is a storm. But when people just want to stay home and play in the snow it all melts. I highly doubt my flute playing was any better than yours. I ended up not playing for church, but my aunt still made me play for the family on Christmas day.

well, in the summer i have to practice in the car/truck because i am with my dad on the road and there is nowhere else for me to practice. seeing as he is a truck driver. but i don`t practice out loud like i should.i just work on the rhythms and fingerings then i play once he is out of the truck. that way i don`t give him a headache while he is driving. nope you`re not the only one who practices in the car.

we have a performance tonight and hopefully i`m not the only flute to show up again. like what happened a couple games ago. we have a small pep band for basketball. only two flutes were accepted to join this year and there was one game where the other flute didn`t show up and neither did the girl that was s`posed to cover for her. so it was just me and there were a lot of flute solos that were not heard because all 6 of the trumpets made sure to play extra loud to drown me out.

I used to have the same problem except that I used to shake a
lot so I just started to play in front of more people by
myself and now it`s not so bad.

my dear, get over it and practice. everyone has their days and it might have been just a bad time for you. doesn`t really reflect on who you are as a player or anything. practicing will help. and tea helps you relax
