I am sure a lot of people have thought that. It does sound like a womens name. Maybe he chose that name because of his feminine side.

When I first found it inappropriate to use my real name in this forum, with trolls and impersonators present (and still present), and my professional reputation therefore slightly precarious, I briefly called myself `Me`, which turned out to be confusing with the `me` pronoun used in posts. So I changed it to `Meme`, simply because that is the name my infant daughter called herself.

So your screen name has nothing to do with the new science of memetics. Okay you just saved from asking. gene-genetics=meme-memetics.

I just did a search and found
"Meme: an information pattern, held in an individual`s memory, which is capable of being copied to another individual`s memory."
Very intersting. No I never heard of that, but perhaps memetics will eventually expose and scientifically explain the last fronteer (after explaining other god-atributed phenomena such as thunder, lightning, the solar system, etc) of forms of inter-human communication currently attributed to god. :-)
