Our band used to do a lot of classic rock but then we changed because people got tired of us being the classic rock marching band. My freshman year we did a show by Styx. Sophomore year disney Millenium music and this year russion music with Fire of Eternal Glory, Symphony no. 5 by shostacovich(spelling!) and Petrushka. Different but cool all the same. Nightmare before christmas is awsome. um..... Alice and Wonderland might be cool if you could get copy rights since disney is a pain in the rear. haha.

what songs are in the Nightmare Before Christmas show?? i was considering a disney show, but i don`t know if the rest of the band will like doing a disney show. but hey i`m all for it. but then again they call me the disney queen in band. our band director always chooses oldies music. and i know all of the kids are really tired of oldies. i listened to the Anastasia show and it sounded really neat but there is always the chance that mr. l-dawg sir won`t like it.

This year we did A tribute to chicago show. It is for the Group chicago. It was a lot of fun. Next year we might be playing Reflections. The three songs are reflections of light, reflections of sound ( which has a solo in the beginning), and reflections of form. I listened to it and though that it was really cool. I director is not sure if he wants to do it yeat because it is a really hard show and he needs to know that people are actually going to put effort into it.

Last season my band played a awsome show. it really didn`t have a theme but it was Bohemian raphsody, No leaf clover, and cup of life. To warm up befor handwe played to the visiting side of the field salvation is created. Oh and in cup of life we had this really fun band dance in a perc break. in the the beginning we had this guy (my one section leader) who had a high pitched voice go "Arieba!"It was so great he was our "volcal soloist" everyone loved it. It really helps if you have excellent brass. The whole show had a ton of power. We stayed as close to the 50 as we could to blow the audience away.

Our high school concert band is playing a song called havendance and it is a really pretty song. I would reccomend it for all of your bands.
