Yesterday I received my new Sonare 7000 ! It is truly an amazing instrument !!

I ordered it only a few days ago from http://www.musicproducts.com - They seem to have a lot of it in stock. I thought I’d let you know ...

I’m very happy !

Alex, where can you get the Sonare Flute for $1100?
Are you referring to SF7000? Thanks.

I have tried the Sonare flute and I think the action is incredible for a flute of it`s kind. It felt like many handmade flutes I`ve tried. I`m not a fan of the headjoint that comes with it. The hole is too beveled which limits the range of colors that can be played. I like to use my lips to decide what sound comes out of my flute, not an overcut embouchure hole. I`m considering buying one and selling the headjoint and buying one of Powell`s pro headjoints.

Good Luck!

If anyone is looking to buy a Powell Sonare flute, get one from Bill Street. He is a master instrument repair technician and works on them when they come in from Sonare and they are much better. You`d know that your instrument is in tip top condition. Factory-made instruments such as this rarely come to you in the best playing condition they could possibly be in. Look him up on switchboard.com if you`re interested.
