Well I`ve been interested in the flute for years so I finally got off my butt and went to look at them this week. I found an Armstrong 104 model used for $200 from a music store. Is this a good model and price for a beginner? Also any tips would help Thanks.

I reccommend a Yamaha but Armstrong will be good for a beginner. I started on a Yamaha student flute...make sure you buy a student flute if you have never played before.

$200...maybe the quality of the instrument is really low. I suggest renting the Yamaha 285S flute. about $20.00 a month
