I use Rico size 3. I don`t own my own clarinet I use 1 from cadets but as long as I am in there band I get to keep the clarinet. They supply the reeds. :O

On clarinet, I prefer:

I usually use Rico / Rico Royal 2 1/2s but my new teacher just told me to get Vandoren V12`s so that I`ve done! I got 2 1/2s since I sometimes use 3s in other reeds anyway.

I remember a time when I used to use Vandoren 4s... lord! This girl I sit next to uses VANDOREN 6... SIX. I didn`t even know they went that high! And she just plays so damn loud... thank god I left that band!

2 1/2s are a little bit iffy on the highest of high notes but if I can get a high high G out they can`t be all that bad!

Well, you are right. Vandoren 6 does not exsist, but you can get V12 5+ and "Black Master" (German) goes up to 5++.

I use Vandorens....2 I think...when i was younger i used Ricos...but Vandorens are better

on Bb soprano i use vandoren 4`s (this is also my 3rd year playing.)
on Eb soprano i use 3`s
on Eb alto i use 2`s
on bass clarinet i use 3.5`s
and on contra alto clarinet i use 3`s
They are all vandoren`s by the way.
