what key is the clarinet in?
is it b flat?
and the flute?
i think its c but im not sure?

Your correct, the clarinet is in B flat, and the flute is in C.

Clarinets come in Eb, A, and Bb. I think there are probably more.
Flutes come in C.

EK, those arent the only key clarinets come in. They actually come in Bb, Eb, A, C, and D. I have played on one of each kind except the Eb. There is also the extremely rare octocontralto and the octocontrabass clarinet, which are in the keys of EEEb and BBBb respectively.

don`t forget the Ab piccolo clarinet...although they are quite rare these days.

I like the Selmer rosewood contrabass. The octocontrabass & octocontra-alto clarinets are amazing. I`m guessing Leblanc still has them. I hope they are not just wasting away in some storage room
